Everyone wants to know what is The Bottom Line: How much will it cost?
That is definitely one of the most frequently asked questions and the ultimate final question in just about everyone’s mind. Although there have been a select few who are willing to spare no expense to achieve the desired effect. Each project has many factors that contribute to the final cost. Access to the proposed site, objects and obstacles (in plain view or hidden underground), that may need to be removed or relocated, an elaborate design opposed to a simple one, drainage issues, are just a few of many factors we like consider before calculating and presenting a fair estimate.
“Give me a “Ball Park” price, I won’t hold you to it”. Ha, ha, I try not to get drawn into this scenario because the person who makes that statement always remembers and uses the figure that I give as a budget for the project. It is not always a fair or safe way to gauge the cost because of the often unforeseen and inevitable hidden factors that may ultimately contribute to the actual final cost. So when someone is persistent in getting a “Ball Park”estimate, I will give them a range and say “we’re probably looking at: not less than this amount and not more that amount, and more than likely somewhere in between”.
