We were called upon to convert a shallow drainage ditch (approximately 500 feet in length), into a circulating creek that featured a couple of Koi Ponds, culminating at a meditative Japanese garden. We were presented with a hand drawn, conceptual plan-layout design. The difference in elevation from the uppermost body of water (at the top of the property), to the lowest body of water is about thirty feet. At the mock bridge on the drive as you approach the house, you see a series of waterfalls and a Koi pond we created. We built the falls over an existing retaining wall built originally after the grade was cut to create a level pad to construct the house. After the mock bridge, the creek flows gently alongside the house, where the grade is fairly level. Just past the house, as the elevation begins to drop, the creek begins to wind through some trees. The water picks up momentum as it begins to cascade over rocks, falling into a series small pools and ponds along the way.<\/p>\n<p><a
